Common questions.

I'm not technical. Is this for me?

Yes. Onboarding is concierge — we provision your database, deploy the system, migrate your existing records, and train you on a 60-minute call. You get a working farm management system without touching code.

What about my existing data?

Onboarding includes migrating your existing Excel, Sheets, or paper records into SPOROS. Most farms are fully migrated in 1–2 hours during the onboarding call.

What happens if SPOROS goes away?

Your data lives in your own database (Supabase) that you own. If anything happens, you keep your data — and we can hand over the codebase. You're never locked in.

How is this different from generic farm software?

SPOROS is built specifically for mushroom workflows — batch lifecycle, fruiting events, contamination tracking, flush yields, substrate inventory. Generic farm tools track fields and crops. We track substrate blocks and primordia.

Do I need to host it myself?

No. We deploy and host everything. You access it through a web browser on your phone, tablet, or laptop. Works in the grow room, the cooler, and on the road.

What species and scales do you support?

Built around gourmet and exotic varieties — oyster (pearl, king, pink, blue), shiitake, lion's mane, chestnut, maitake. Currently best-fit for farms producing 5–50 blocks per week. Larger scales on request.
